Sally Lomas
Sally is an international trainer, having over 25 years experience working with pregnant women, babies and their families. She has since expanded into supporting women throughout their lives through exploration in many different mediums.
Born in London, Sally has lived and worked in the UK, Australia and California. She originally trained as a designer and worked for many years producing silks and textiles. With the birth of her first child Sally became interested in yoga and was inspired to move into the specialised world of birth and babies.
Sally qualified as an Active Birth teacher after training with Janet Balaskas at the Active Birth centre in London. She continued her training with Birthlight working with Françoise Freedman in Cambridge and qualified as a Birthlight Tutor. She has qualifications in pregnancy yoga, childbirth preparation, baby massage and yoga, aqua yoga and baby swimming and has travelled extensively to offer teacher trainings. As Director of Training at Birthlight Sally was involved in the development of teacher training courses.
Sally is a registered SYT (senior yoga teacher) with Yoga Alliance UK and an RYPT (registered prenatal yoga teacher) with Yoga Alliance US. Sally has also trained in Ai Chi water therapy. She is a Level 2 Practitioner in The Triple Vagal Method.
Professional connections include training teachers for Birthlight, Sure Start, Touch Learn, Kids Unlimited, Calmababy, Rainbow Kids and Turtle Tots. Sally is also a qualified Montessori teacher and counsellor and mother to four children.
Based in Cambridge UK, Sally still enjoys teaching locally and continues to care passionately about supporting women and their families through the journey of pregnancy, birth and parenting.
Kayla Lomas-Kirton
Kayla is a professional dance artist and movement practitioner based in London. Kayla’s passion for dance started from the early age of 3 when she fell in love with the expression, storytelling and ability to entertain, and she’s never looked back. After training in multiple dance styles, Kayla is highly respected for her versatility which has led her to become a leading member and choreographer of Birdgang Company. Kayla’s eclectic career has allowed her to perform for live theatre productions, live music concerts, award shows, TV and Film. Some of Kayla’s credits include, Riverdance, Thriller Live (Westend), Some Like it Hip Hop, Katy Perry, Nile Rodgers and the London Olympics opening ceremony.
Dance is a universal language allowing you to connect with absolutely anyone, anywhere in the world, regardless of language, culture, ethnicity, age, or ability. With over 10 years of professional dance experience, Kayla's job has allowed her to travel the world where she was inspored with the connection between movement and culture and has tried to implement the sense of community that is so consistent with the art form. For Kayla, dance has not only been a passion that has brought joy throughout her life, but it has also been both empowering and healing. By leading workshops and teaching classes around the world, Kayla hopes she can assist this journey for others and continue to spread the love of movement and performance.

Katey Wheelhouse
Katey Wheelhouse began her journey as a healer after leaving behind a 15 year career in Hollywood working on major motion pictures and TV shows. Finding yoga and beginning her practice brought balance, stability and peace into her life.
In 2014, Katey began her studies in Thai massage with Krishnataki and found her true calling through touch and connecting with people in a mindful way.
After a move to Barcelona, Spain in 2015, Katey began her company Wheelhouse Wellness and facilitating Birthlight On Tour Motherhood Yoga Trainings with Sally Lomas. A 500 RYT, Katey has dedicated herself to offering trainings around the world. Her aim is to share with as many people as possible this way of life that has elevated her personal journey in every way.
