Sally Lomas creates flowing easy movements in the water to bring a smile to your face and a sense of wellbeing to last throughout your day. She uses yoga, rhythm and resistance with elements of Ai- Chi and music to create beautiful sequences. There is a focus to personal awareness of sensations and movement to support women through pregnancy, postnatal and for all ages. The benefits include strengthening the physical body, calming the emotions and freeing the breath to enhance the flow of energy.
With over 25 years international tutoring experience, Sally has now developed three unique teacher training courses which can be highly adapted to your own needs. She enjoys working flexibly and is a great communicator. Programmes can be created for individual companies and swim schools whilst maintaining high standards and consistency. The courses will give you the knowledge and confidence needed to run your own classes. When deemed safe for everyone, Sally is very willing to travel to you. There is also the opportunity to have some of the theory pre-recorded and live online with practical sessions in person.

Ai Chi
Ai Chi is a beautiful flowing aquatic energy therapy created by Jun Konno, one of Japan’s foremost swimming coaches and fitness experts. Eastern and western philosophies are integrated to strengthen, relax and to attain mental, physical and spiritual health. Tai – Chi and Qigong concepts are combined with Shiatsu and Watsu techniques to combine deep breathing with slow elegant rhythmic movements. The practice is performed in shoulder depth warm water starting with hand and arm movements and extending to full upper and lower body sequences.

Joyful aqua yoga courses are created to provide women with nourishment, fun and support in water throughout their lives with specialised attention to pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.
Joyful Aqua Yoga for Pregnancy and Birth
Beautifully designed sequences to nurture women through their pregnancy and help prepare for a joyful birth experience. Women are encouraged to connect with their bodies and to tap into their own intuition through easeful practices.
You will learn:

Who is this course for?
This course is open to Swimming and Aqua fitness teachers, Yoga instructors, Midwives and Doulas. It is essential you have a love of water, a desire to support women during pregnancy and to help prepare them for a joyful birth experience. You must be able to swim, to submerge happily and be ready to open your heart to a gentle personal journey of exploration as well as learning all the moves and theory that will set you up to teach.
Assessment and qualification
To qualify you will need to complete all sessions and activities which will include a teaching assessment.
You will receive a Joyful Nurture certificate qualifying you to teach these specific practices for pregnancy and birth.
As a qualified tutor in this area, Sally has tutored aqua yoga courses internationally for many years. It has been validated with BGi insurance that the company recognises the qualification and will insure new teachers to teach the practices.
